Install Your House For Sale Sign.

There are 4 main ways to install your house for sale sign, but first you will need to attach the sign to a post. If you need to buy a post simply visit a DIY shop and buy a 2.4m length of wood. You will then need to saw from the top, down the middle of the post long enough to make a gap in which you can place your for sale sign. Once you have placed the for sale sign in the post, you will need to drill 2 holes through both the post and the for sale sign. Lastly, secure the sign using nuts and bolts through the drilled holes. You are now ready to choose one of the following options to install the for sale sign outside you house or flat.

Option 1 - Cable Ties:

By far the easiest option is to secure the for sale sign post to a secure place e.g. a gate or fence. You will need fairly long cable ties depending on what you are fixing the for sale sign to. Simply loop the cable ties around the gate/fence and the post to secure the sign in place.

Option 2 - Screw The Sign To Gate/Fence:

Drill 2 (or more) holes through your for sale sign post. To fix the for sale sign in place, simply screw though the drilled holes in to a gate or fence.

Option 3 - Fix Via A Stake In The Ground:

Just fix your for sale sign's post to a stake and then hammer the stake into the ground. You may choose to attach smaller pieces of wood around the base of the post in a triangular formation to make sure the sign is extra secure.

Option 4 - Screw The Sign To A Wall:

Firstly, using a hammer drill, make 2 small holes in your house wall and place raw plugs into the holes. Next drill 2 holes into the for sale sign post that line up with the drilled holes in your house wall. Lastly, secure the for sale sign post to your wall using bolts. You will need an adjustable spanner to tighten the bolts and secure the for sale sign in place. In most cases this option will apply to terrace houses, should this be the case you may choose to shorten the length of the post.

Please remember if you already have your for sale sign, and have yet to install it outside your house it is always a wise idea to place the sign in a prominent window facing the road. Buyers could be passing your house right now!

In summary we highly recommend a house for sale sign.
